Project Overview
Carrigg Commercial Builders completed a targeted interior renovation at the White River Junction VA Medical Center to create a dedicated Women’s Mental Health Clinic. The project transformed an underutilized lower-level space into a functional, compliant clinical environment designed to better serve women veterans.
The work was performed within an active VA medical campus, requiring careful coordination, phased execution, and strict adherence to healthcare and life-safety standards.

Scope of Work
The project involved a complete interior renovation of approximately 4,000 square feet on the lower level of Building 39. Work began with extensive demolition and abatement, followed by reconstruction to support new clinical and administrative functions.
Key elements of the scope included:
Asbestos abatement and removal of hazardous materials
Complete demolition of existing walls, ceilings, flooring, and systems
Installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Construction of new metal stud partitions and masonry veneer walls
Closure and reconfiguration of existing entry points
Site work and foundation preparation for new interior partitions
Creation of additional office and provider spaces
Full compliance with VA healthcare standards and applicable codes
